I don't own Leverage or most of the magical concepts in this fic.  I'm not making any money off of it nor do I have any money to give you.  For any powers that be who haven't gotten the message yet, this means don't bother suing me.  It won't do anyone any good

Author's Note: This was written for thebigbangjob's 2012 ReverseBang.  I want to thank ultra_fic for the art prompt, the cheerleading, and the amazing story-specific artwork.  I'd also like to thank everyone over on the support comm for who helped with brain-storming and other forms of encouragement.  Finally I'd like to thank my friend Lauren for letting complain to her about how I kept stalling and didn't think I'd manage to get done in time and for letting me bounce ideas off of her.

FIC: The Sapphire Monkey Job part 1/3

Disclaimer: I don't own Leverage.  Some of the concepts I've used in this fic have been borrowed from other sources as well.

Author's Note: First off, I'd like to thank ultra_fic both for her amazing artwork and also for her encouragement and letting me bounce ideas off of her.  This fic would not exist without her.

Second, I'd like to start out by saying that I am not fluent in any dialect of Gaelic, French, or Russian.  If you are and you notice any linguistic mistakes, please, please tell me so I can fix them.  Also for especially the Gaelic, if anyone can give me pronunciation guides, that would be greatly appreciated.  Some words I definitely know the pronunciation but others I am significantly less than certain.  I'd like to add that to the glossary, but I don't want to put it down wrong.

As always, feed back is greatly appreciated.

My Baby...

No, I don't mean my baby in the sense of my child.  I mean my baby in the sense of my car.  Ruby.  She's in the hospital.  Possibly as good as dead.  It's horrible.  She's not just a car.  Yes, she, not it.  She's practically my dream car.  Why did her head gasket have to tear?  I've only had her for a few months.  I love driving her.  I'm just plain in love with her.

Not to mention, I don't handle it well when I can't get places on my own.  To paraphrase Jack Sparrow, a car is not just a body, an engine, and a set of wheels.  That's what a car needs.  What a car really is, what Ruby is, is freedom.  I don't do well without that.

Bloody Hardware

My computer was working fine until today.  I don't know why it suddenly decided that the wireless card should not turn on.  But it has.  I *hate* it when my machines start trying to think on their own.  It never goes well for anyone involved. *buries face in hands* *sigh* Gah!  I just want to be able to go online with my own computer!  Is that really too much to ask of it?!

Writer's Block: Love is in the Air

All right, I'm gonna be snarky here.  My perfect date?  That'd be October 5th.  It's my birthday.  Before you say anything, yes.  Date.  It's a date.  A literal date.  Technically dates and romance aren't related.  Oh, wait, you meant date in the sense of "appointed time to get together with a romantic partner and do something special" or "person with whom I go on romantic outings"?  Why didn't you say so?
